I’m glad you don’t want the site builder crap! but why the windows req? Apache is Apache…. linux should be easier to find!

You didn’t say how much you could spend.. anywhere from free to 50 bucks… but you get what you pay for!

I use http://verio.com and they’re always up and available!

No it is false… kinda.

Byethost does not allow for the mail() function in php to work on their free hosting plans. Other sites do. http://www.zymic.com/free-web-hosting/ is a decent free host. As well as they do allow for MP3 and larger file uploads. Unfortunately you will probably run into the same mail() problem (I don’t know for sure). So look into SMTP mailers. phpMailer is a good and easy one to use. Most free sites allow, and prefer, you using SMTP mailers.
